WHO poll
|
Can't we pose the referendum question? Just curious on how we align on here overall? Certainly would be slightly more interesting than current question.

That would be good work on the part of G&S in putting a stop to Project Mong.

they should have got gold and sully to do the referendum
do you want to
1) remain
or
2) remain, but would probably vote leave if given the opportunity again
results are in

I see "stayin IN" had firmed to 40%. That's a landslide to Remain out there in the real world, you know.

Out
But I come at it from a left of centre position.
I actually do see the need for a level of governance above the nation state and I am persuaded by the concept of 'pooled sovereignty' but my gripe with the current system is its lack of democratic accountability. It is outrageous that the elected European Parliament has no legislative powers.
Plus, on a much more profound level, my feeling is that the current system (political and economic) at both national and European levels is so discredited and so incapable of dealing with the huge environmental and technological shocks that are just around the corner that there needs to be a fundamental change, which I hope an out vote will help to deliver.

Re: WHO poll

Shite wording for the poll.
STAYing in implies emigrating if the poll goes the other way, which is a lot more bother than just VOTing out.
Polls are terribly sensitive to the wording.

I voted No in that poll.
Was that for No I don't want to be in the EU, or No I don't want to leave the EU?

So? That probably because it was Saturday night and not many people had voted.
You do realise at one point it was 100% to one side. FIX.

Ha, No seriously, I voted yesterday and got another chance today.
I would also point out the 'In' was 56% at that point...
